Shortly after Luis and I married, we decided to have a special family devotional time once a week and started trying to think of what we would call it. After much brainstorming, we decided to call it "Offering of Grace." And these were the guidelines we set up for this special time:
1. It was a time that our family would dedicate to thank God for His immense love.
2. Our theme verse would be 2 Corinthians 8:9.
3. We would sing.
4. Papá and mamá would take turns giving the class.
5. We would have some kind of "treat" at the end of each Offering of Grace to share with all the participants.
By God's grace, for over six years now we have enjoyed and benefitted from this time together.
Since it's initiation, there has been one very important addition to our original guidelines. It is something that Iliana came up with all on her own. It is now official that at the beginning of every Offering of Grace there is a "welcome." Usually it is Iliana's responsibility; however, there are rare occasions when someone else gets to do it. The "welcome" consists of Iliana saying (in a "circus style" voice), "Weeeeelcoooooome [insert name]!" At which point the person named is then required to do the wackiest sound and face they can come up with. It makes us all laugh!
