I
was talking with a friend last night whose three month old baby has Acute
Myeloid Leukemia. She shared how her
physical and emotional exhaustion at times has left her “all prayed out” and
all that she can say is “Help.” As a
mother of four between the ages of 10 months and 6 years, I have experienced
those moments as well. You can be sure
that God answers those prayers. Prayers
are not powerful because of eloquence, volume or length. Prayers are powerful because Our Almighty God
who created everything in heaven and earth loves us with an everlasting love. He hears
and acts. He responses to what He sees in our
hearts. “The eyes of the Lord range
throughout the earth seeking to strengthen those whose hearts are fully
committed to Him.” 2 Chronicles 16:9a
Thank you Father!

DON'T HURRY
Psalm 5:3; 27:14; 33:20; 37:7; 38:15: 40:1; 106:13; 119:166;
130:5; 130:6
It is so much better to wait on the Lord than to hurry ahead of Him and make decisions that we later regret. There are so many decisions that we make on a daily basis. We would often avoid getting ourselves in trouble if we would take the time to talk with our Father about what we are planning BEFORE we do it. In the Psalms alone there are ten verses I found that encourage us to WAIT on the Lord. It is repeated often probably because it is something SO hard for us to do. Help us Lord to WAIT on YOU!
